The Abramoff probe has become a twisted, terrible version of Carmen Sandiego...

Mystery firm linked to US lobbyist scandal

US government investigators probing Washington's explosive Congressional bribery scandal centered on disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff recently visited Hong Kong, according to a witness interviewed by the authorities.

The investigators reportedly are chasing convoluted money trails leading to Abramoff and government officials he sought to influence.

Ain't that the truth. Long story short: the money trail leads to the Tan family, sweatshop moguls of the Marianas Islands. More...

3. Which leads to forced abortions. So glad the Christian Coalition

(better known as those religious wackos by Abramoff and Delay) are soooo Christian that they support forcing women to have abortions. At least they are consistently anti-choice.

4. Yes
For the life of me I can't understand how the Democrats are missing that one. When this entire scandal comes out, it is going to horrify Americans. I wrote on this scandal when Abramoff's name first came up last year. The corporations have all settled, so there really isn't anything that has to be proven anymore.

5. Where in the world, indeed
Hong Kong's Companies Registry has no record of Rose Garden Holdings; nor does the telephone directory. The apartment listed by Abramoff as Rose Garden's premises has been owned since 1992 by Luen Thai Shipping and Trading, according to the Land Registry.

Luen Thai Holdings and its controlling shareholders, the Tan family, were leading beneficiaries of Abramoff's Washington lobbying.

A previous article out of Asia also said the Tan family contributed to Bush's election fund. That would also be a violation of law, but at this point is anyone counting?

Does anyone think the freepers will be upset when (I mean IF. Can't underestimate the media.) they find out the GOP was selling them out to the Chinese, among others?
