Stupid McCain comment on Iraqi insurgents...

"On Monday, McCain said at an appearance in suburban Cleveland that if U.S. troops announce a specific date to leave Iraq, insurgents will bide their time until they have an opportunity to act without interference"....

....so after the US leaves Iraq the "insurgents" would attack whom????

They wouldn't be "insurgents" at that point, they'd be victorious defenders of their "homeland" from an illegal, immoral invasion and occupation of their country.

2. This is the dumbest defense for a failed foreign policy...

1) The insurgency doesn't really seem to be faltering all that much even with US troops there.

2) Bide their time? They haven't been biding their time for the past 5 years.

3) How many Iraqis died last month in insurgent attacks? 3500+. Methinks they have plenty of opportunity now.
