I think one of the (many) things that's done our elections in is this incredible impatience to know the results on election night. What's wrong with taking the time to make sure it's done right? Is America not worth ensuring that everyone who's eligible and wants to can vote, and that every vote is counted properly no matter how long it might take?

I think we should have a 24 hr. period, being the same all over the country, for voting. That way voting starts and ends the same time for everyone, and with 24 hours you would probably get more people to vote.

I'm surprised he made it all the way to 70+ posts before he was tombstoned. He did at least try to appear as somewhat progressive but his combative, caps-lock "replys" gave him away. He could spell better than most of them though. These guys follow a pattern. Not filling in their profile is usually a dead giveaway. 5. Oakland mayor's race

We had a mayor's race that was too close to call whether Ron Dellums (yes, that Ron Dellums) had won outright or had to go to a runoff election. It wasn't decided for days. It didn't hurt anyone to wait.

Anyone elected in November doesn't take office until January. We have time to wait.
