Bumper Stickers - good sources?
Does anyone know of good places to get political bumper stickers?

I just bought a new car, and am contemplating whether or not to put my Kerry/Edwards and Save the Environment plant a Bush back in Texas bumper sticker, or get a new one.

I just don't want anyone to think I actually voted for Bush.

I like the funny ones. I saw Two Unemployed Democrats still have some good ones - anyone else?

Meg

2. I like to order my own
from Makestickers.com. They have nice templates to use, and are relatively inexpensive if you just want a few. What I like to do is order about three of the same and carry the extras with me in case someone comments favorably. Several years back I had a "He wasn't elected on Sept 11th, either" bumper sticker. More recently I had "Eight years of Prosper ty. Democrats balance budgets". Whatever you can think of might work well.

You have to weed through the right wing ones, but there are some really good ones for us. Also, you can narrow search by choosing "anti-bush"

(I like "Prevent Unwanted Presidencies"...)

5. Will political bumper stickers make my car a target for vandalism?
There are a lot of wingnuts out there who think violence and destructive behavior is justifiable for Dear Leader, and my roommate's been warning me not to put bumper stickers on my car for that reason. Also, last weekend when we were going to see Snakes on a Plane, we saw a car in the theater's parking lot, that happened to have prominent John Kerry bumper stickers, with smashed windows, slashed tires and popped-out locks.

I do want to put stickers on my car, but I have a relatively nice 2000 Jetta, which I've paid some decent money for, and I don't want some dickhead trashing it because he doesn't like my politics.

I live in a fairly blue pocket of a red state & haven't had any problems. I sport 5 or so stickers in the back window of my truck. I get more grief when I go to other areas of Colorado, mostly in the form of the bird. :eyes:

Here's my most current display.
on edit: Many of these are from ImpeachDubya's shop.

a "god is just make-believe" sticker, and I haven't been keyed. I live in a rotten red city in a rotten red state. But other people on DU haven't been so lucky.

I have also just ordered these stickers:"President Gore:sounds good now, doesn't it?" and "Gore for President 2008" from Cafe press. They'll be going on the bumper in a few days.

9. Make your own!

There's sticky label stuff available in every office supply store. Print it in your inkket printer. The trick is to find a plastic coating that will make it weatherproof. (Of course, you could get transparent sticky stuff to put OVER the sticker to make it waterproof.)

I don't like the quality or the prices from the sources mentioned. I also don't like paying a middleman to do what I can do myself.

Or if you don't have an inkjet printer, use waterproof Sharpies to make your bumper sticker. If you're doing them only for you, this would be the ideal way to go.
