"We are just protecting ourselves"

while we pillage and fight in other lands.
However, countries that are at real risk of invasion and occupation are considered threats when they flex their muscles to "protect themselves".
That is a concept I have never been able to wrap my head around.
It's like saying the gang from the East Side went to the West side to kick some ass, however, when they got there...the gang from the North side (in order to protect the West side), kicked their asses all the way back home.
Then all of the sudden, the gang from the East side is the victim.:wtf:
