Imus chides Begala for supporting Lamont over Lieberman...

On the Imus show this morning, Paul Begala said he was supporting Lamont over Lieberman because Lamont was the Democrat and he won the primary. The Imus crew accused him of stabbing Joe in the back. Begala also said he was supporting Kinky Friedman, an Independent, for Governor in the Texas primary.

How can you tell a good ole boy from a normal American? A normal American understands that the primary is part of the democratic process and that you respect the voter's wishes by supporting the person that got the most votes. A good ole boy doesn't understand this nuance. He'll either cheat to tip the election, or just ignore the results of the election altogether to support the guy they wanted in the first place.

Here we have an ex junkie/drunk running a camp for seriously ill children so that his wife will have something to write off.

I'm sorry, I am thrilled that the children have an opportunity to go to a beautiful ranch. I LOVE children but he is a user of the highest degree.

14. You know what amazes me about Imus is that he gets these "Reporters"

including some good guys like Frank Rich onto his program and yet he's an idiot who has some "hold" over them.

It's like the "sucking up" goes overboard with this guy that so many of us find REPULSIVE but they just eat up whatever he throws them.

Is it the "Frat Boy Syndrome?" Or just memories of Boomers when Imus was the "Shock" guy who did some "Monty Pythonesque" parody when he was in his drunken hey day. I used to listen to him way back when hew was young and "Jon Stewartish" ...but I found him kind of "SICK" even way back then..and he ALWAYS HATED FEMALES!

So...his "revival" would seem to me to be "Boomer Nostalgic." Yet he's crude and disgusting...like a male Annie Coulter... If it wasn't for his political guests I wouldn't bother with him...but when I wake up and start the coffee pot...I seem to end up over there if Frank Rich or someone is on before I go to "C-Span."

Maybe that's his charm and ratings...because many of us have trouble with Soledad O'Brien (the Katie Couric Clone) and we do alot of CHANNEL SURFING for what's going on.

I think I'm more sick than Imus that I do watch some of his stuff when he has a "Politico's" on. :puke:
