Why are people this stupid?
why does 1 speech and another country's successful terrorist apprehension merit a bump for this yoyo. Why are people that stupid in this country? OR if this is a piece of propoganda, why do they think people so stupid that this would work? Why didn't the admission of no WMD in Iraq merit anything but disdain. Is this the way America is now? Is it all about the mere perception of approval now? When is a poll going to be done that asks the right questions?

Bump in polls for GOP due to UK terrorist arrests.

1. USA Today. They might as well have said "GOP ratings up in Fox News poll"
USA Today is nothing but factoids, and GOP approved propaganda.

2. Umm, weren't the UK terror arrests primarily the result of police work?
Doesn't that show that the GOP/Bush strategy doesn't work? (and weren't millions us saying so from the beginning?)

How many terrorist plots have we broken up with our war in Iraq?

4. People are deliberately misled
The MSM does a good job of misdirection and outright lying. So long as one only gets one's news from the MSM, it is hard if not impossible to find out the truth. This is the huge burden that Democrats have to overcome. The only good thing is that the MSM is so blatant about propaganda that many people are getting cynical about what they see. You can only get so many "terror plots" before one becomes numb to them. And it is slowly dawning on some folks that every time one of these "plots" is "foiled" the repukes crow and strut about happily while every one else suffers through idiotically designed new "measures" imposed on travel.

5. People do not want to think for themselves
It is too easy to let someone else tell you what you think. You don't have to sort out all the details.

:hide: :scared: They want to KILL us! Actually, I think they just want us to leave them alone, and stop trying to shove our form of Democracy down their throats. Makes sense to me.

8. No its not. People are fundamentally equally intellignet and concerned
It that we have trained them to believe in things that are not meaningful a the same time we have all been turned into slaves. We are slaves to desire, greed, and at far too many times glutony.

12. I think it's his 9/11 bump
bush's core saw his post 9/11 performance as his finest hour, with the 5th anniversery approaching, and the daily 9/11 replays, I believe sheeple have been reminded why we are there, and quickly forgot how disaterous the past 5 years have been. IMO it will die down after mid Sept.

13. Which is amazing when you consider that he was only hidden and
"protected" on 911.

Why do people keep believing the bullshit that * did anything on 911 but hide?
