Bush** Publicly Takes Constitutional Powers Away from Congress
In his press conference yesterday, Bush** said, defiantly, "We will not leave Iraq while I am president."

This statement, delivered with force and conviction, is a Bush**'s public announcement that we are no longer living in a functioning democracy. We are living under an authoritian regime with a Unitary Executive, who does not answer to Congress, and does not answer to the people.

Congress should control the power to declare/wage war. Congress should have the power to decide when the troops come home. The HOUSE answers to the people every two years.

The Decider has once again decided. The rest of us are chaffe.

2. Sounds to me like he's asking for impeachment.
You heard him, Congress. Make him 'not president' so we can get out of Iraq.

4. A new Dictatorship is always difficult for the legitimate members
of government to deal with. The end of the Roman Republic is a good example, even the advent of Stalin in the old Soviet Union is an example. As long as the legitimate members of government act as though nothing has really changed, they can continue to hold their positions and save their lives. Once they acknowledge that a dictatorship has been established over the legitimate government, then they lose all semblance of power and are in jeopardy of losing their livelihoods and their lives. As long as the Dictator can pretend to adhere to established governing rules and laws, he can more easily entrench his gains and take actions without the need for excessive, costly force. The Bush Dictatorship would make Caesar, Napoleon, Stalin, and Hitler proud...

5. Congress can stop funding the war.
But they're afraid of Bush...More scared of Bush than they're scared of Osama...and so is America. Cowards.

7. That's the explanation for it all: Fear of the GOP smear machine.
There is no congress as long as the dems refuse to take on the RNC smear swiftboat machine.

I say we should have 2 weeks of unified democratic voices calling them out for their abuses. Label them bullies, list the lives they've wrecked and start smearing their side.
