Most of my posts on DU have been snarky comments to other threads, or some pointless thing of my own. I now wish to get a little serious.

Like most of you, I don't know if I can take any more. I've met so many people who are now as freaked out and paranoid as I am that I'm convinced there is a reason for it.
The mid-term "election" results should tell us once and for all which way we are headed. One way is Constitutional government, the other is fascism and death. I and many of my friends are actively working for the former, and hoping against hope that we can stop the latter.

What happens if or when the next elections are stolen? The machines have spread everywhere. "Terminator" isn't coming in the form of killer robots, but as voting robots. Will we get up the numbers in the streets as the Mexican people have? I fear not. I hope I'm wrong.

Jefferson wrote that democracy must occasionally be nourished with the blood of tyrants. Are we at approaching that moment?
