While on vacation, last week, from my free hotel USA Today:

WASHINGTON — President Bush's warrantless surveillance program is unconstitutional because it authorizes illegal searches, a federal judge ruled Thursday.
"There are no hereditary kings in America and no powers not created by the Constitution," wrote U.S. District Judge Anna Diggs Taylor in Detroit.
The plaintiffs and the government agreed to a temporary stay of the decision until a Sept. 7 hearing, while the Bush administration vowed to appeal.

And later when it was only worthy of a crawl on all four cable channels because a possible murderer of a child from ten years ago was possibly found and that was more important news than my constitution and the future of the country and the lives of all the future children it might affect. I saw the crawl the night before but NO! this one possible murderer was more important than anything the President might ever do.
How many hours have been devoted to the fact that we have a coup in our midst? That it was a bloodless revolution? I'm sure that's WHY Bush calls us the Democrat party. Democratic? HA. The joke's on us.
I'm sure it was widely discussed here. I just had to share how it was found out in the world out there. It was on the front page. But the Benet story had a bigger picture and coverage even in the paper.
My husband and I agreed this summed up everything that is wrong in America today. We are fed gossip while Rome is burning.
America was taken over by a boy king and nobody noticed. USA Today. Now back to your regularly scheduled gossip.
