I count on Countdown for real news. This is not real news, period. Gawd, when will it end?

1. It's like O.J.'s low-speed Bronco chase.

Nothing is actually happening, but they feel compelled to tell us about it anyhow. To his credit, though, Brian Unger has been interjecting a few ironic remarks; he obviously knows the coverage is absurd and stupid. He commented about how Karr's plane trip was getting 24-hour coverage but the 26 soldiers killed in Iraq this month weren't.

It really is insane. And it looks like the rest of MSNBC's coverage this evening will be all Karr, all the time. :puke: 'Course, nothing else is going on in the world...

13. That was one awful show.

Half an hour of the Ramsey case plus a ridiculous New York Post article on Osama and Whitney Houston, Britanny Spears and her no-talent "rapper" husband and something about a large tricycle.
Wow.
Worst. Countdown. Ever.
Hopefully this was an aberration and not a sign of things to come.
