Poll question: Given the Neocon's influence over corporate media, is it reasonable...
...to conclude that the GOP wields considerable influence over who becomes the '08 Dem nominee for President?

And Secondly, will they try to make sure it's Hillary?

4. Agreed. The corporate, Neocon driven, media...
...and the question is, will they succeed. I considered making the poll a three parter with this as the third question.

5. If I'd had the presence of mind...
...I would have made "blah and blah" one of poll answers.

3. As far as I'm concerned, they picked Kerry in '04. Dean was too
much for the people so they went after him and then looked around for "who could beat bush". They picked Kerry.

6. so that's why the media ignored Kerry, basically declared him dead
and yet gave Dean his own press plane and covered him almost exclusively?

7. Someone noted that things fell apart for Dean when he talked about
making media ownership wider - more people involved. Then came the great scream. If you actually heard what he was saying, it was a great speech. But the media kept playing it over and over and pointing out that Dean did not have presidential stature with that kind of display of emotion. So they came the "who can beat bush" hunt. And all of a sudden Kerry started getting a lot of cover. He had voted for the Iraq invasion, so he was not too far off where the media and corporations wanted a president.
