I am tired of hearing about how hillary will or will not win...
when she hasn't said if she is running or not. The republicons started this and the dems jumped on the bandwagon. Who will be dead or alive by 2008 , the ringleader of this movement is Dick Morris and I believe that he is angry because Hillary wouldn't give him any, she is his favorite subject.

1. I agree
It sounds like the kind of slime Morris is good at.

3. I have been watching Morris on Hannity ...
for years now and his favorite subject is Hillary. He was a consultant for bill and probably was jealous because he was getting more than him , most likely he tried to hit on hillary and she turned him down and it hurts him deep down in his black hearted soul.

2. How much money has she raised for 2008?
How much money has Hillary raised for 2008?

How much money have other candidates raised?

When traditionally should we expect formal announcements?

6. Evidently , that the Republicons want to decide that for us..
just like they are trying to decide the lieberman/lamont race.

4. It's like some big time machine.....back to 2002....Where are
Peabody and Sherman to protect us?

Ignore the polls and ignore the blather-- wait for the candidates to speak and agree or disagree with them. In the meantime, let the folks get their lathers up.

5. I don't care if you're "tired" or not
I think your post is an attempt to stifle political opinion, by arguing that we shouldn't talk about Hillary's prospects, (or Wes's, or Al's or John's or whoever else might announce a run for president.)

I like political hypotheticals and political forecasting. Both belong on DU, IMO.

7. well Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Gore, ect haven't come out and said
they are going to run and there are lots of threads pro and con on them too. People won't officially announce until after the midterm elections anyway--or later. I'm assuming that she is planning on a run though, just as it seems apparent to me that Kerry is itching to run again.

9. my point is that the republicons are trying to ..
set up our candidate for us and they hate hillary so they are doing what they can to defeat her in the press if and when she announces.

10. Interesting...
Why can't she just say she's not going to run, and then the entire issue would go away?

12. Hillary won't say "she's not going to run"
because she IS going to run, IMO. It is impolitic to announce a run for president too early. She has lots of money, and doesn't need to set up a campaign staff - she has one for her Senate run.

There are good reasons why she doesn't announce her intentions now.

13. This is a political forum isn't it?
Hilary is a major player in the Democratic Party, and the impression is that the nomination is hers for the asking - I don't like that personally - but it certainly would seem like a valid point to discuss.

14. Well I can tell you I'll proudly vote against her in primaries
The Right hates her for mostly unfathomable reasons (I think it's mostly the "Clinton" name). The moderates fall into the right's scare tactics. And a certain segment of the left (including me) believe in personal responsibility and find Hilary just as responsible for the war she loves so much as Bush.

I'll grudgingly vote for Edwards maybe or someone like that, forgiving them because I know the more left-wing democrats will probably be chewed up by the money machine, but I will not give Hilary even a chance.
