Democracy Now! Covers the important issues re Ramsey murder
And what would that be? Only that the network tv "news" spent many times as much airtime on that issue as they did the ruling against the NSA wiretaps. The whole idea that the media is not telling us about real news, but only rehashing old local news of little or no political or social impact. I think i remember they said ABC, for example, gave 15 times more airtime to the Ramsey case than the NSA ruling. You get the idea.

So if you want to hear & see serious news. Go to http://www.democracynow.org/

Though i suppose we can say this for the major networks. during the month of July, there was actually very little coverage of the Princess Di death.

1. Although I recall one segment on whether she was . . .
actually preggers when she died (seriously!). That rivals the JBR newsathon for the "none of your business" award.

2. August 31, 2006 will be the 9th anniversary of her death. July was
still a little bit premature. Then, we'll have Labor Day weekend for expanded coverage. (I had to look up the date, so don't call me weird for knowing it.)

3. Yes it is truly tragic that a little girl was brutally murdered.
But what of the countless Iraqi children who have been killed, maimed, or poisoned?

Yes, the issue of child pediphilia is of great and onerous and dire concern. Yet parents who pimp their children or a pathological liar and a pervert hardly warrant the obsessive attention of our focus.

How many tens of thousands of kids have been evicerated through our bogus war of aggression with no casus belli whatsoever?

It's frigging crazy.

4. Democracy Now! even covers the stories of Children in Gaza
who are dying in a US funded war against them.

and a person listening to every broadcast of major networks would hardly know there is such a place as Gaza, much less know of US complicity in their plight.

5. I thought that it good to see the comparison made
and the implication is that this story (Ramsey) is an attention grabber from the NSA story.

And it could even be contrived to boot.
