Has anyone here flown JetBlue Airways?

My brother hooked me up! "No first class seats, no second class citizens". Democratic- owned, comfy leather seats, good vino. Tell me about your experience with them, please! For the first time in years, I'm excited to be flying again.

1. Yes, I've flown them and I really liked it.

First, they have non-stops from Seattle to both NYC and Boston, which is really great. Also, everyone gets their own televisions. No meals, but lots of snacks, on time, lots of legroom. I recommend them highly.

We took off on time, we arrived on time. We had simple snacks on the way. I was completely satisfied.

Democrat? Got a link for that one? I saw a documentary a few years back on Jet Blue and it said it was started by the same guy that started Southwest Airlines, a Mormon business man. I was raised Mormon and there are very few democrats in the church (like less than 1 in 10 I would say).

It is indeed a mormon based company founded by David Neelmen. He didn't found Southwest, he founded Morris Air and sold it to Southwest and had to abide by a non compete clause for several years. So he then co-founded Westjet in Canada and when the non-compete clause expired, sold his share and started JetBlue. JetBlue a non-union, low-paying airline in a niche market. The reservationts work out of their homes in Utah.

They do have good service and comfortable planes. They also have a "no overselling seats" policy; i.e; no overbooking flights.

They have until recently been able to remain profitable because it is a new airline and Airbus sold them planes with a "no money down! no payments till 200?" policy and all the employees were new and thus start at entry level wages, which increase with seniority.

7. Leaves on time, gets there on time, no BS, has Direct TV in every seat.

Prices are good & has non stops JFK to Long Beach - LB is probably the most convenient airport on the west coast, certainly in the LA area. It's the only airline I would consider anymore. I hope they stick around!!!

26. You're absolutely right about Long Beach airport...

VERY convenient. I used to live right down the street (Clark Ave.) and in Lakewood. I flew in and out of LB a few times; airport was only about 10 minutes away. Much, much less hassle than LAX. Next time I fly back out to S. California, I'll check JetBlue to see if it has any direct flights out of Kansas City...:hi:

Will fly them whenever possible. My boss and his family (6 people and tons of luggage) just used them for a family vacation... LA to NYC... they loved the whole experience and will use them again.

I know that one attempt to unionize some of their workers failed, but I thought that was because the employees didn't support it?

It's hard to organize workers who don't work in an organized office. How do you meet with your shop steward when your office is your kitchen and the closest company building is 50 miles away? That's a nightmare scenario for union organizers, but allowing employees to do that is far superior to forcing them to commute in every day.

Raed Jarrar was forced to cover up his t-shirt with arabic writing before being allowed on the plane.

And there have been other incident of discrimination.

I wouldn't fly jetblue if they paid me.

Long flight from Oakland, CA to JFK. I liked the individual TVs. Watched the Daily Show, Colbert, HGTV remodeling shows and an old movie. Kept me occupied. :-)

Will use them again the next time I go to NYC.
