And thankfully, today, I see so many mixed couples, wonderful golden children and so much less hate for one race vs. another.
This isn't to say racism is dead, it's still alive and well but not in the volumes it was thirty years ago.
Today, the American "establishment" no longer can place a bullseye over just the Black Man. Today, there is a little effort to make the bullseye appear over the Hispanic... But things have changed... Even shades of gray have ceased to exist or have power. Today, the main efforts of those who in the 60's who wanted to keep the Black Man (read: CHEAP LABOR) in check have realised that it is much more economical and PC to just keep a class in check and do their best to expand that class's volume.
The purveyors of economy and "justice" now dictate the price of a gallon of gas, the price of an antibiotic and the price of an education to assure their continued dominance in this world. There aren't nearly the racial barriers that existed in that world we thought we had defeated.
They dropped the barriers and IMHO, broadened the base of their enemy (or their cheap labor).
I can only sit and wait to hear the words "let them eat cake" or see some guy in a Guy Fawkes mask trying to carry kegs of gunpowder under DC.
It used to be so black and white?
No. There's only one color left... And it's Left.
