So Lieberman on Face the Nation
said that he has differed from B*sh since the war in that he thinks the US should have sent MORE troops to Iraq.

This is supposed to win the hearts and minds of CT voters?

I can't believe this guy. What the hell was Al thinking???????? He and Lieberman would have been at each others throats throughout a glorious Gore administration.

1. I specifically liked when he said if voters wanted a divisive partisan.,
they should vote for Lamont!!

Coulda been a Bush talking point.

2. That's like saying he would have had more guys along to gangbang the
victim. Would have gone more smoothly if there were nore guys to hold her down and gag her mouth and perform traffic control so the rape proceeds in an orderly fashion.

It's illegal Joe, what don't you get about that?

13. You got it.

Them "uppity" Iraqis just gotta toe the line, according to Joe. The only reason they didn't throw flowers, like Cheney predicted, is because we didn't pay Halliburton enough to open florist shops. Maybe if we give all the Iraqis school vouchers for a good madrassah, then they'll quiet down?

3. Did you notice if Lieberman's eyes flickered, that is usually what happens.
...when cyborgs tell untruths.

4. Then why didn't he say that? Maybe because CT voters didn't want it.
Joe Lieberman is completely out of touch.

5. Did you hear Sheafer's discussion after Leiberman was on?
The first thing he said was "What do you suppose Joe meant by all of that? Hell, even the host didn't buy it!

6. He seemed to be appealing to the Democratic voters in CT...
to not desert him. They are his base. He needs them to win. The Republicans are just a bonus. Ol' Triangulatin' Joe at his best.

7. DLC wanted Lieberman with Gore...
I can't think he was Gore's first or even second choice.

10. We needed Zero troops
at the time of the invasion, and should have maintained that level over the years, IMO.

Lieberman is Mr. Anti-Charisma, and I have to agree with the poster upthread who basically said that the DLC pushed Lieberman on Gore.

9. going in initially with more troops and A PLAN might have helped.
But, there was no reason to go in in the first place.

George Packer's book "Assassin's Gate" goes thru step by step the myriad of miscalculations the bush administration had.

15. He was making the rounds at the Hamburg fair yesterday.
I got to shake his hand. :-)

He's got a bunch of meet and greets scheduled today. He did the Sunday talk shows last week, didn't he?
