Anyone watching CNN and Wolf? It's amazing how Israeli spokespeople
reframe, redefine, and change the discussion to their talking points. Israel does no wrong. Hizbollah hides behind civilians (these civilians happen to be their families and fellow citizens. They are not hiding behind them but trying to defend them. Does anyone believe that Israeli IDF do not live among their families?). They charge every criticism of Israel as either anti-semitism or hate against Israel. How does one begin a dialogue with anyone on that basis. Everytime I raise a serious question about your actions toward me, I accuse you of hating me?

The only answer to the Lebanon issue is for Hizbollah to lay down their separate arms, join the Lebanonese military, help train them, and for the Lebanese government to accept and recieve upgraded weapons and intel equipment to be able to fight Israel themselves. As a sovereign nation they should have the same rights to self-defense as Israel and they should be able to receive weapons and aid from any of their allies in the region. If the US can arm and support Israel, Syria, Iran, Jordan, Egypt, should be able to arm and support Lebanon.

2. Its our media. Wolf throws the Israeli spokesman a few softballs...
...and lets the guy ramble on and on until he runs out of breath and can't talk no more and then he brings on this neo-con from the American Enterprise Institute to talk pure unfounded propaganda until she runs out of breath. Pretty sickening to be honest with you.

3. Note that they put a Lebanese journalist on a "balanced" panel
Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 11:30 AM by Armstead
Wolf gives freee airtime to the Israeli spokesman while sandwiching the other side into a panel dominated by the position of American Neo-Cons.

4. As much as I've been a critic of Israel's methodology here...
...That is bull. Hezbollah instigated this conflict at a time of its own choosing and a place of both sides' choosing. The only reason Lebanon needed defending is because Hezbollah decided to open a second front while the Palestinians were being bullied. That is by no stretch of the imagination, defensive action on Hezbollah's part.

Also the only reason Hezbollah is able to fight freely is because they are free from pangs of conscience when Israel retaliates against Lebanese civilian infrastructure. I can't understand how the Lebanese army could tolerate such a result.

And Egypt gets bribed to the tune of 2 bil a year precisely not to do things like supporting Lebanon militarily.

5. There is a difference between Lebanon and Hezbollah
Hezbollah is not a sovereign nation. They are not the legitimate authority of Lebanon.

They are a terrorist organization that encourages hate and violence.
