of the few news outlets that even acknowledges who and how many died weekly.

I didn't get to watch it today and I thought they might have been behaving cavalierly about it. IT wouldn't surprise me if they were. The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer mentions it every night, I think if the DOD makes an announcement that day, and they have their memorial at the end of the week.

But after three years, the US soldiers and Marines finally have better armor.
Injuries are through the roof.
280 injured in January 2006, 600 in July.
Attacks are up, injuries have doubled, but deaths are down.
