3. I'm in!
He does an outstanding job filling in for Tweety too. I frequently send them an email suggesting they make Gregory the permanent host.

David rocks!

4. I wonder why they have him as a replacement. He is more liberal than Tim.
Looks like they would get a Tim clone.

18. Didn't he also present wiretap issues as yes or no as opposed to
legal (FISA) or not legal (unitary executive)? I didn't see the whole McCain interview but what I did see he asked him about the wiretap issue and did not ask about FISA.

7. He Also Needs To Replace Matt Lauer
I love it when DG is on MTP and Hardball, and he makes WH press conferences a hoot to watch, but he's just a whole lot of fun when he subs on the Today show.

9. Watched it and was thinking the same thing
It's not even a partisan thing. Tim does all this "gotcha" stuff. True, he's done it more with the left than with the right but he does it with both and the fact is, it's not really any more informative than Crossfire got to be. He puts up some graphic for the guest to argue against, for which they use their canned talking points. David Gregory asks intelligent questions and gets information in return. It's just a much more intelligent show with him on it.

16. what was up with steffie? he was
as nasty as I have seen to Kerry. kept trying to dig, and get a reaction. It was not an interview, it was a barely veiled attack.

I really like David Gregory. I've seen him question Shrub/and/ or Company, and David's persistence is like a dog with a bone-he just won't let up.
