Glad To See Dan Rather On tweety's Show. I Wonder Why tweety
has him on there? This is not the first time I've seen him on that show. What do you think?

1. Two possibilities:
A) Chris Matthews realizes that Dan Rather is better than the usual hacks.

or

B) It's August, and Chris Matthews couldn't get the usual hacks who are out-of-town on vacation, though he'd have preferred that.

We'll find out in late September what the motivation is, based on whether Dan Rather is still on the show.

2. Dan Rather is going to have
his own show on Mark Cuban's HDTV..

"PASADENA, CA - July 11, 2006 - HDNet is excited to announce today that one of the most accomplished news journalists of our generation, Dan Rather, will produce and host "Dan Rather Reports," premiering exclusively on HDNet this October.

A weekly news program, "Dan Rather Reports" will feature hard-edged field reports, interviews and investigative pieces. It will be one-hour in length and will be completely uncensored. It will reflect the signature qualities of its host with a focus on accuracy, fairness and guts.

"We're thrilled that Dan is now part of HDNet " said Mark Cuban, Co-Founder of HDNet. "Now that he is finally released from the ratings driven and limited depth confines of broadcast television, I am excited about the impact Dan can have on the future of news."

6. I just watched ABC This Week
It was speculated that Bush will try a nuclear strike on Iran in 12-16 months, that puts
it exactly in the run up to the 2008 election. I am praying that we get the honest coverage
we need other than everything coming up roses mantra on the networks now.

7. Rather has been on regulary for at least a month now. I'm delighted
with his presence. But I also wonder why tweety has included him. I've been getting the feeling the past three months or so that tweety has stopped drinking the GOP kool aid. Probably because of the shift in the political landscape.

8. Well, Other "Pundits" Better Take Notice, Becasue Once Things Shift,
it'll be too late to make a sudden shift. Media people ought to think how they deserve to be treated in the near and distant future (after Nov. '06 elections).
