More forced FNC...this time at an airport newsstand! (Manchester, NH)
Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 08:19 AM by bbernardini
So my wife and I were returning from our vacation to Maine (it was lovely, thank you), and we stopped in the Hudson News facility at the airport in Manchester, NH. Two large TVs in the store were both tuned to Fox News Channel. I immediately walked out. I believe it was fairly obvious as to why.

Turns out Hudson Group/News has LOTS of contact e-mail addresses, so I'll be sending them something similar to what I sent to the Longhorn Steakhouse people.

2. All depends how you look at it
From my perspective, Any television at airports is forced.
I don't distinguish between Fox or others in this regard.
It's all propaganda.
I haven't owned a television in a decade.
So I won't be contacting Hudson News on this one.
Seems kind of quixotic to me to do so.

3. The last time I flew out of MSP (Minneapolis Saint Paul) they...
...had "CNN Headline News" in the waiting area. The TV show was hosted by right-wing radio's Glenn Beck.

5. We won't have to worry about Glenn Beck after Tuesday.
After all, that's when he says the Rapture is.

4. I was recently at a local fast-food place with TV's in the dining area.
Placed in opposite corners, they were tuned to different channels. I sat down close enough to one to watch and listen while I ate my lunch, a commercial was on at the time. Took my first bite, then the commercial ended and wouldn't you know it, up popped Faux news. I quickly grabbed my food, and loud enough that others who were watching could hear said, "I'm not going to eat while watching THAT crap!" Luckily the other TV was tuned to MSNBC, so at least I had a more appetizing option.
