1. I saw that earlier.

One gets the impression that the gentleman thought that admitting he was listening to The Long Island drunk would somehow absolve him of all sin.

Which is a window into the mind of one of his listeners. I have found that many of the really committed ones think they are living treasures, bearers of the flame of everything that America should be, if you only let them browbeat you into their way of thinking.

They remind me of abusers.

2. I hate to play the race card, but do you think a person of color would

have gotten away with that type of verbal abuse from any police officer. I'm not suggesting they would have gotten a beat down, but at the very least arrested. There has to be some law on the books abuse, interference or threating a police officer that would cover this particular asshole.

At any rate I support the police doing their jobs in a lawful manner and treating citizens with respect while they do it. I also think we as citizens have a responsibility to not escalate some thing as simple as a receiving a traffic ticket into an immediate fight over your civil rights.
