I think I figured out where the W came from...
William Walker.

If you don't know him, Google him or if you get the chance, see the movie "Walker" with Ed Harris. This is what W & company might have been in the 19th century.

6. Watching it for the second time...
I don't know how I missed it in it's first release.

I love the random inclusions of things like a Zippo lighter, cokes, Marlboros, and the computer monitor in Vanderbilt's office.

Insane movie.

9. I like the similarites though......
Although Walker was very much in earnest, and thrust himself heart and soul into these projects, he was bound to fail. He lacked too many of the essential qualities of leadership to be successful in his undertakings. He did not understand human nature, and above all he was neither a statesman nor a diplomat. Despite his firm believe that his destiny sent him out to conquer, still he failed because he could not measure up to the task.... LOL

8. That picture could be from a weird Sci-Fi movie promotion........
unfortunately it is the reality of genetic mutation.......another example of the need for stem cell research.

I've been meaning to see that movie again, since it came out on DVD. Might pick up a copy for our local library, too!
