Brief "Homecoming" Story
Okay, I'm at this huge Star Trek convention in Las Vegas. One of the many stars here is Robert Picardo, who played the Karl Rove character in the "Masters of Horror" episode "Homecoming" (remember the zombies coming back to vote against *?) We purchased the DVD specifically so he could sign the cover for us. Well, I was disappointed that he didn't take questions when he was on stage, but did something else instead. So, we waited for over 3 hours to get to our ticket number (don't ask). When we got up to him, he was pleasantly surprised to see the DVD cover, and said, "yeah, Homecoming..." I asked him which was worse, getting killed by zombies or playing Karl Rove. He laughed and replied, "what do YOU think?" I said, "playing Karl Rove." He laughed, and we moved on.

The general feeling here is that while we're all looking forward to the movie, Gene's vision of one world united, with no racism, sexism, or poverty, is quickly going down the tubes.
