The Republicans want to change America as a cowardly reaction to terrorist

We have to constantly push the theme that only cowardly frightened sissies vote Republican. This will affect their primary base: neanderthal Rush Limbaugh types that are insecure about their masculinity and project an overblown sense of power as compensation.

These are the guys that act tough in hopes that the act will deter anyone that might want to challenge them. Their greatest fear is being exposed as weak.

They are gorillas poinding their chests, peacocks spreading their feathers.

Nothing more.

Attack them this way: remind them that you are NOT SCARED ENOUGH to vote Republican.

That implies that THEY ARE. Which also implies that they are weak. It probably won't convert a lot of R base to D, but it WILL make a lot of Rs disgusted with the whole process and stay home on VOTING day.

We have to start thinking like them, even if it means shutting down half our brain at times.

1. Exactly... Republicans are too weak
to stand up and defend the constitution.

Republicans have caved in to the terrorists time and time again.
Whatta bunch of pant wetters.

2. Precisely. Vote for them so we don't get killed... yet it is clear that
voting for them, we are in support of offshoring and things that leave us in a state far worse THAN death.

Mind you, "Democrats" like Bill Clinton never helped either. (NAFTA, DMCA, COPA, telecom act, I could go on and on...)

3. They sure are chicken, aren't they?
They'll beg the administration to strip us of all our rights as Americans, just so they can "feel safe" at the Mall.

4. I couldn't agree more. I've done this several times, and damn- it works.

I told my brother in law (he's a Bush fan), "If you expect other people to die for your 'freedoms' abroad, you should be willing to at least stand up for them at home. You don't surrender your rights just because you're feeling scared".

God, that shut him up. If you equate blind loyalty to cowardice or being a "sissy", they'll shun it. And that's what it *is*. I don't know how these people have come to believe that worshipping some daddy President is "macho".

5. That is a perfect response!
"If you expect other people to die for your 'freedoms' abroad, you should be willing to at least stand up for them at home. You don't surrender your rights just because you're feeling scared".

Support the Troops!!

8. Hehe- I think it was the words "surrender" and "scared" that got him.
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 11:34 AM by Marr
He's a genuinely nice guy, too- I really like my brother-in-law. He just doesn't get any alternative perspectives presented to him. It's basically Fox News and Limbaugh.

6. My husband has a term he uses all the time
refering to the way the GOP is trying to scare us all and are succeeding. He calls it "The pussification of America."

15. "pussification of America"
I like it! It sure does apply too.

It's so ironic that they cannot see how much they make themselves look like sissies with this "you gotta be scared of 'em" attitude.

It's so un-macho.

7. Not to mention that those who give up their liberties for a false
sense of security are not even making themselves any safer.

If Al Qaeda hates our freedom, giving it up is just giving in to them. You can even use the dreaded Rethug insult "appeasement."

9. It's especially hilarious...
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 12:00 PM by reichstag911
...that Bush's base, the sheeple, are spread so pervasively throughout the South, where no self-respecting terrorist with any sense of the relative media values of given attack targets, would ever think of striking. The cities, where they're sure to hit, are the ones who vote most overwhelmingly against Bush. The shit-pants-scared red state voters have nothing to worry about; Osama isn't gonna be targeting their trailer parks any time soon, IMO.

11. We call that 'trailer park macho' here in Atlanta
Atlanta is quite a different world than the rest of Georgia, but that doesn't prevent the yokels from coming into town occasionally.

We do laugh at the 'country boy can survive' types, when, even in the song, the 'country boy' gets killed when he comes to the city.

And yet they fail to see the irony in that.

12. Irony, while only five letters,...
...does have three syllables, so I suspect it's a bit beyond the "yokels'" ken.

17. All of them were too scared to go fight when it was their turn, during
Vietnam...but the chickenhawks become total "Bad Asses" when it's your kids they want to send to the meat grinders in places like Iraq or Vietnam. They never change! NEVER! They don't even pay their fair share of the tax money spent, during the war on Terra.

Sending your kids to fight, bleed and die, for EXXON's foreign interests, so that EXXON can turn around and charge you and me the same price for a barrel of crude oil, as the "bastards" in OPEC "WHO HATE US FOR OUR FREEDOM," charge us for a barrel of crude oil.

EVERYTHING BUSH'S FRIENDS TOUCH IS A "TRIFECTA"...all we get is the shitty end of the stick!(if we're lucky!)

I used that Friday at work on a guy wanting to profile at the airport. I said I am not scared and we live in the home of the brave, not the home of the cowards.
