America is a reflection of New Orleans.
Metaphorically, but far worse.

Hurricane Corporatism has done to America what Katrina did to New Orleans.

Government doesn't give a fuck.

Corporations obviously wouldn't; they're bribing government officials to keep their taxes nullified.

So it's up to us to support and work with each other.

And just like in New Orleans, people only give a fuck about themselves.

End of rant.

1. Interesting
that New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin implied in a press conference somewhere yesterday that if a Katrina like disaster struck Orange County, California the Fed response would be entirely different.

And If America is a reflection of New Orleans does that mean you can get a Central Grocery Quality Muffaletta in Minneapolis?

2. The Feds always seem to be dumb the first time 'round...
So what are they analyzing, and why?

To see how Americans react under disasters. Especially natural ones, which means that if the tinfoilhat lot are correct about government-based engineering of America's destruction, the government is getting a free ride in terms of seeing how people respond.

Personally, I believe the concept of 'community' and 'society' has been bred out of people in American culture. (case in point: Modern-day reality tv.) We don't want to help each other in times of crises. We like to urinate on them and punch them. It's not very Christian of us, as a nation of people.

And the aftermath of Katrina is damning in how people responded.

As for Minneapolis... I don't go there anymore. Too many cops and hooligans. (I did step outside my car there in 2002 and that was the last time. These days I will occasionally drive through, at night, and things have clearly gotten worse.)

3. Why I can't watch "Everyone loves Raymond"
The way they talk about each other, and the constant jokes at other's expense.

Family should protect and nurture each other, not tear them down, imho. I can get enough of that out in the real world.
