Another terror 'plot' foiled - in Germany
German bombs 'mass murder' bid

German police have ruled out blackmail as the reason why two bombs were left on trains on 31 July - and now believe it was a failed terror attack.
The bombs were in identical black cases on trains in Dortmund and Koblenz.
(...)
"We are now working on the basis that this was the work of a terrorist group... and was an attempt to kill a large number of people," he said.
(...)
The devices consisted of gas canisters, alarm clocks, wires, batteries and a flammable liquid in soft drink bottles.

A handwritten note in Arabic, listing groceries, a telephone number in Lebanon and packets of starch labelled in Arabic and English, were also found.

A handwritten note in arabic with a telephone number in Lebanon? :spray:
Not to mention the grocery list and the convenient 'liquid' in soft drink bottles ...

Why, oh why, do we believe this shit?

4. They claim we need them to keep us safe
Yet not only did the worst attack on US soil take place under their watch, but (if you believe all of their reports) terrorism has gotten infinitely worse in the past 6 years. How many times has the terra' alert been raised? How many Bin Laden tapes have been released, plots uncovered, conspirators discovered, etc? Not to mention Bin Laden is still at large. It doesn't exactly give me reason to trust their abilities.

I saw the Robertson quote last week and couldn't resist making it my sig line just to illustrate how obscenely bizarre the fundies think. No rationality there.

3. Remeber they conveniently found Atta's suitcase at the airport...
... conveniently fingering Osama and his merry men!

These childish plots merely reinforce my complete disbelief concerning the offical 9-11 explaination.

7. This "evidence" they keep finding...
FFS, you're going to blow up a train and you leave a grocery list??
Like the Korans and ignition devices they found after the Madrid bombing...
Atta's passport in the WTC ruins...

Just how obvious can they get?

8. The suspects

The evidence:

Why didn't the bombs explode? Why was there packets of starch inside? Why was there a telephone number to Lebanon inside? Why a handwritten note in Arabic?

9. Germany arrests Lebanese student over attempted train bombings
The Associated Press

BERLIN German authorities say they've arrested a Lebanese student suspected of helping plant two suitcase bombs on German trains last month. (...)

The suspect was detained a day after investigators released surveillance camera footage showing two men with heavy luggage at a Cologne train station.

Prosecutors say the suspect was identified with the help of the video as well as D-N-A traces from one of the suitcases.

The 21-year-old was arrested today at the main station in the Baltic Sea port city of Kiel (keel), where he lived and studied.

10. Didn't Bush give the German Chancellor
a shoulder rub? Surely they must've discussed other things while doing that.
