I just read this
The administration seems most concerned about Common Article 3 of the Conventions that bars "outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment."

Officials are concerned that revelations about U.S. use of leashed dogs lunging at detainees during interrogation, forcing male prisoners to wear feminine underwear, and nakedness might fall into the category of "outrages upon personal dignity" and give rise to prosecution in the aftermath of the scandals at Abu Ghraib prisons.

Let me get this straight. Forcing male prisoners to wear female underwear and stripping them naked might fall in the category of outrages on personal dignity?

MIGHT?? As in, you're not quite sure? :wtf:

1. A$$hats
Interesting how saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" is a distinctly unforgivable offense, but they have to question whether or not making men wear women's underwear or go naked might offend their dignity. :eyes:

2. to BushCo, the Geneva Conventions are meaningless . . .
"pieces of paper" signed by previous administrations who didn't face the complex world of the "War on Terror" . . .

so they feel they can just ignore them . . . which they do with some regularity . . .

the fact that, legally, THEY CAN'T DO THAT is only now beginning to dawn on their addled brains . . .

duh! . . .

3. They hate us for our what?
I hope we get the chance to see Rummy, Bush, Cheney, Rice, all of them, pissing in their panties while they're hanging from their cells while awaiting their sentence, from we, the people.
