Being a meteorologist, Mr. Gore was preaching to the choir but I really felt empowered when my wife was curious about some things about both global warming and Mr. Gore.
One disheartening fact about our movie experience was there was only 6 people including my wife and I in the whole theater on opening night here in Biloxi. I guess people just aren't interested unless a blood thirsty sack of shit president or one of his cronies opens their filthy lie pit. Ok, back to the topic.
I explained to her the effects of her, and everyone's effect on the environment and how we as a couple can change. We already live in an energy efficient home, and on top of that do not mow or care for our lawn with any carbon-emitting tools, and are converting to a hybrid before the baby is born.
I told her when our baby is born, we should set forth an prime example of the future American family, one that is creative and innovative ways to conserve and promote goodwill to mother nature.
I really appreciated Mr. Gore's attempts to reach out to Joe American, and try to drill some points home. However "The Skeptics" as he said throughout the film will never believe some of the things that are happening right in front of their face.
When Mr. Gore was up there speaking, I realized by his passion in the topic that this was his life's calling. I think he can do incredible things if he doesn't loose the thrill of the chase and keeps the fight for the enivironment alive.
Well, take care DUers and good night.
