(10th CongressionalDistrict, FL.) Way to go. Water those grass roots. Take note Democrats.

1. Me too! I was a little distressed.
She used a .39 stamp, and had written the note on a very nice card. I hadn't really donated enough to warrant that kind of a personal response. (Kind of high overhead, I thought.)

3. I believe the cards were left over from the grass roots campaign
to get Samm's name on the ballot and were recycled. She is the only candidate for Federal office ever to get on the ballot here by collecting signatures rather than just paying money. I have no idea about the stamp, I can only assume she was out of the smaller ones. "Enough" is not what Samm's campaign is about. Donating "enough" is how Jeb and his brother W operate. But since you said that, should Samm win, don't expect any big no-bid government contracts to come your way. :-)

4. Hey Annabanana
Hey Anna, don't want you to stress the high overhead. My 79 year old mother works with senior citizens up north and the folks are always bringing in items to recycle - cards, shoes, clothes, you name it. When I visited my mother last year, she handed me a boxload of lovely notes that had were just waiting to be a spot of sunshine to someone just like you. As long as I'm able, I'm saying "thanks" to everybody that sends a little something our way. We need every penny in our battle against the Industrial Military Complex!

2. Water those roots with money! I have not been begging here
during the fund drive. That will end soon (maybe tonight). Samm is the real deal, she even posted a thank you here for the $300 DU raised for her last weekend. The trouble is that C.W. "Bill" Young could raise ten times that with a few phone calls if he felt the need to campaign. I would love to see this District come out of the "safe Republican" category within the next 60 days. DU has its own page at Act Blue for contributions to Samm's campaign: http://www.actblue.com/page/help.samm

We also need help with placements for yard signs. If you know anyone in FL-10 please urge them to put a sign in their yard. PM me and I will see that it gets there.

Samm is the only candidate for Federal office in Pinellas County who ever got on the ballot by collecting signatures rather than paying money.

Retiring Young should be a goal for every DUer.
