OK. Fess up. Who is watching the 200th episode, hoping that
a US president might be infected by a snake in his chest, and thereby do much less damage to the US, the world and the future?
I mean, really!
could any evil-minded alien do ANY WORSE than what we have now in office?

7. It's certainly not the Sci Fi channel.... it most certainly is the
Star Gate channel... no doubt about it.

And I will be watching when it comes on. :-)

It should be fun. I suspect that their version of conspiracy won't come close to reality.

10. So they did in the Star Trek series as well.
I have also noticed in all the movies about ancient Greece and Rome that they all spoke the kings English as well. :-)

17. At least in Star Trek they had ...
the Universal Translator which did away with the messiness of language translation, just like the transporter did away with the time consuming trip down to the planet in a shuttle.

15. Actually, that's something the producers fessed up to.
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 06:43 PM by seawolf
Apparently they didn't want to spend half an episode, most episodes, on the characters learning the language, or have to have Jackson translating everything.

So they didn't bother, in the interests of easy viewing.

You should pick up the DVDs-Seasons 1-7 are pretty good, for the most part. It's not the new Battlestar Galactica, but a damn sight better than Star Trek.

11. I'll be watching but not till later
I'm on the west coast. And as for a worm in the chest. I think he is a worm. And yes, I am a huge Sci Fi fan. Although lately the reality show crap and wrestling have invaded the channel.

12. Yes, isn't that the pits? I turn it off when they are on because
I want them to realize I don't like those. However, I am enjoying the "Dark Angel" reruns on Monday. They are very timely too, set in the future in an America very much like the one we seem to be heading for today. The parallels are kind of creepy.

Also, I find "Dead Like Me" entertaining. I guess it didn't make it on the networks. Too bad. It was actually a good show.

13. Snake in the HEAD, dude.
And you call yourself a fan...

Unfortunately, looks like it'll just be taking the piss out of other sci-fi shows with that annoying conspiracy-theorist alien, Martin what'shisface.

However...

14. While the show has been declining...
...I do turn it in and do look forward to tonight's episode.

Despite the return to plot capsules this season, the show gets points for being more in-sync with fans than most.

Besides Claudia Black is hhhhot, despite the typecasting.

19. I'm partial to Michael Shanks as Daniel, but then I
was always drawn to really smart guys with glasses. The fact that Daniel seems to also work out antes up the hotness for me.
