1. Try not to say "I just don't understand the GOP" so much
You've been in radio for over 12 years. I think you know how they work by now.

Other than that, great job!

16. I'm not going to that, though - just to the reception
Apparently, there will not be very many people there. I'm lucky, I can tell you.

My secretary has a horse like the one in your picture - she went to Germany to get it. Actually, she just sold that one and now she's going to get another.

33. My horse is German too! The picture is of her sire who is an Oldenburg.
It was taken in Vechta (sp?) Germany at the Oldenburg Verband stallion approvals. My filly, Cotton, looks just like her sire! Her dam is an American Thouroghbred and Cotton was bred hre in in the US where the sire now lives.

I hope that you had a good time and got to speak with Randi! Thanks for taking our messages to her! I think that she reads DU! :hi:

18. Tell her Jeanette in FL says Hi
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 05:14 PM by Jeanette in FL
I've been listening to her for 18 years. I used to contribute to her show in South Florida when I lived down there. At that time I was Jeanette from Jupiter.

My worst Randi story: She was working at a Rock station "WSHE" and Randi had Motley Crue is the studio. I was a big fan. Loved Nikki Sixx. Randi was giving away front row tickets. I called and got on the air with her and told her why I wanted to see the band again. During the conversation, she asked me "How old are you?". I told her 34. She told me I was too old to go to the concert and to leave the band alone. I swore I was never going to listen to her again. Well of course, I listen the next day after the concert and Randi took off with the band for over a month, nobody knew what the hell was going on.

Years later, when she moved up to WJNO, she had the band Boston in the studio, another great interview. I called up and to talk about the interview and reminded her of our years earlier conversation with Motley Crue and she had remembered the whole scene. She told me she did me a big favor that day, She said "The girls with the band were gorgeous and that I would have felt so inferior." Plus she said you were too old to go, I reminded her that I am only 1 year older than she is. We had a great laugh and she reminisced about her trip with the band.

For the rest of the show, she played one Motley Crue song after the other and she told story after story. It was a great day.

Have a great time Lisa, she is blast in person. I cannot wait to hear your report.

Yi Jing

THE JUDGMENT

THE CORNERS OF THE MOUTH.
Perseverance brings good fortune.
Pay heed to the providing of nourishment
And to what a man seeks
To fill his own mouth with.

I think it fits her quite well.

20. Well put JuniperX on the list and tell her
we need about 100 more of her... and that I love her no bullshit attitude... that could even be anti-bullshit when you think about it:)

There are thousands of people on DU waiting for the word when she feels it's time to start the revolution... I know she's holding out until all else fails, but she has a lot of support here if worse comes to worse and we need to take it to the street en mass.

25. Now, now
I'll tell her the good part. This is for love notes, remember? If you win tickets to a reception, you can go chastise her. Plus, your team stole my favorite Red Wing, so you're lucky you're even getting on the list! (I know, "stole" isn't the right word, but damn it, I'm going to miss Shanny).

26. Woooooohooooooo!!!! (Shanahan). I Also Added A Little More To The
latter statement.

I really do wish she'd stop talking over her guests and callers so much though, as it is quite a turnoff to a lot of listeners. But as far as her intelligence and contributions to the democratic cause and the strength in which she speaks our message, she's dead on.
