some type of training and can't get a job. I do, and there are plenty and they can't find a job. Whats so good about this economy and why in the hell don't the Dems ever mention that in their talking points.
Of course, what happens in the long term is yet to be played out. But it is a good time to be a new graduate. Sorry to bear news that isn't necessarily consistent with our preference for bad things happening, but I work in higher ed and have seen this turn around over the past few years.
That is not to be taken as a statement on the overall economy or whether current economic/business climate is fair/friendly/equitable. Just stated a factoid from Oklahoma.
It must be noted that I'm a middle aged woman (44 1/2) trying to find a job in the science and engineering field. I work with several degreed people (though admittedly it is difficult to secure a job with a degree Baccalaureate degree in psych or fine arts) and an other middle aged woman with a masters degree in mechanical engineering.
10. In A Nutshell: It Now Requires More Education To Get A Shittier Job
The phrase 'race to the bottom' comes close to describing it. There is greater and greater competition from more and more people who are better and better educated for fewer and fewer meaningful jobs, leaving more and more meaningless jobs to pay less and less.
By the way, I did that double superlative thing on purpose ...
