What would happen if Dem candidates demand rebuttal time
of cable news programs that essentially give free time to their preferred candidate, like they have with Lieberman? I mean call them up and demand equal rebuttal time. I know that the channels can refuse, but you could always point out that the time was asked for and rejected.

5. We can probably revive the Fairness Doctrine with a Dem congress
The problem is Repubs control most of the federal government now, and they have a pro-business corporate news media that naturally proves their ally for financial reasons.

7. The fairness doctrine only applies to broadcast stations.
Cable and Sattelite stations are exempt.
