1. One thing that bugged me about Young.
And this is something that has bothered me since his album came out.

He keeps saying: "I was waiting for a new anti-war voice, but there wasn't one, so I had to do it."

Well, that is just flat-out BULLSHIT.

There are many young artists doing anti-war music, but the CORPORATIONS won't give them record deals, and they won't play them on the radio! The only reason Young is allowed to is because he has been around for over 30 years, and made them all millions of dollars.

2. Actually Neil has addressed that
in a couple of interviews I read - he KNOWS people tried, but no one that would be heard. Young doesn't have control over who the corporations give record deals to, he is aware that people tried, though.

I think he meant an anti-war voice that would be heard - if you check his website, there are tons of videos by not-so-well known musicians.

7. Green Day!
I think that is a little annoying, that he doesn't address the others, Dixie Chicks?? Kris Kristofferson?

3. Agree. Steve Earle, for exampe >
released "Just an American Boy" (remember the shit he got for "John Walker's Blues"?) "Jerusalem" and "The Revolution Starts Now" between 2002-2004. All strongly anti-war.

He ain't that young, either.

12. It's not at all. I simply didn't like the way he framed it.
He acted as if he were some lone voice in the wilderness...
