Many are saying that the 6th circuit is more sympathetic to "security" and reverse Taylor's decison. I also want to know why they call this law breaking a "program" instead of just ignoring the law. Anyone know what the chances are of this ruling being overturned and the ACLU appealing to the Supreme Court?
All I know is that the 3 branches of the government are supposed to serve as a check and balance between the other two branches. I know that our republican controlled congress has already ceded their power to the executive branch of the government. If the 6th circuit reverses the ruling... that will mean that the Judiciary branch will be ceding their power to the executive. Does the Judiciary want to give up the power they wield? I guess only time will tell.
