This is kind of cool...Newsweek called...seems they're coming by

"Anita Garcia" and I planned a small, informal get together of Camp Casey/Katrina survivors @ our home this weekend. Old friends and fellow travelers would gather for red beans and rice and a screening of The Fourth World War (a Big Noise Film).

Today, I received a telephone call from a Newsweek photographer who'd like to attend. As it turns out, he's interested in doing a human interest gig drawing a nexus between Jazz Funeral for Democracy, Crawford, and Hurricane Katrina.

So, he's coming by.

Reporters and photographers make their living distorting things for the angle. Be careful about how things can be portrayed and don't sign anything without understanding exactly what you are signing.

It is my understanding that they heard about the party while trying to schedule interviews with local activists. Someone suggested our place for one stop shopping....
