9. so we cant be friends with anyone?
If you cant name at least one Republican senator you could see working with in the future then our congressional control is going to be ineffective

15. haha.. seriously though its naive to think
we can get anything done without the help of moderate republicans... im not talking about this coming congress or the next presient, im talking long term reform of a party gone out of control

18. "im talking long term reform of a party gone out of control"
I for one think that if there are ANY moderates who have the courage to reform the GOP that they're on their own. They probably won't want any help from us. It will take people like Will Pitt's grand dad to do it. I hope that there are enough of them to get the job done.

"Bush met with the Prime Minister of Ireland, who gave him a bowl of shamrocks.
There was an awkward moment when Bush said, 'Where are the pink hearts and yellow moons?' "

17. And a Bush fool. McCain is another do anything, say anything,
kiss anything just to get elected. Smear my wife and kid? Sure fine, I'll live with it. Lie about me? That's okay dokie. Call me crazy, insane, yadda, yadda, yadda - go right ahead. I need to genuflect before Falwell? I'm so there. I want to be president and I need this bunch of asswipes to help me so there is nothing to low to ask of me. Ambition trumps integrity any day in McCain's world.

McCain is one of the worst of the worst - and that is some list. If McCain is a "centrist" or a "compromiser" then I'm the Tooth Fairy and everyone look under their pillow tonight.

20. Pretty much my sentiments too
The only reason people think McCain is a moderate anymore is because the media tells them too. He's a Bush puppet.

8. Was he a Republican politician?
My Republican dad is very honest too, but he would not make a good politician.

13. Almost
JFK asked him to run for the Senate after McCormack stepped down, so he could hold the seat until Bobby was ready to run. My grandfather turned him down. Said, "Sorry, Jack, I might like the job too much."
