"These candidates and incumbents are the kinds of leaders our nation needs - leaders who will fight for the true Republican values of fiscal conservativism and local control," said Governor Whitman. "We have selected a wide range of candidates running for office on the state and local level because we believe in building the Republican Party from the ground up - if we are to expand the Republican Party, we must elect strong candidates on all levels."
