Arnold loves Bush quotes and pics (find for your local Repug or Lieberman)

Can you trust a governor who said this about the most incompetent, corrupt, and dangerous president in American history?

From Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2004 GOP convention speech:

We are one America -- We are one America and President Bush is defending it with all his heart and soul.

That's what I admire most about the President: He is a man of perseverance. He's a man of inner strength. He's a leader who doesn't flinch, who doesn't waiver, and does not back down.

My fellow Americans -- My fellow Americans, make no mistake about it: Terrorism is more insidious than communism, because it yearns to destroy not just the individual, but the entire international order. The President did not go into Iraq because the polls told him it was popular. As a matter of fact, the polls said just the opposite. But leadership isn't about polls. It's about ma -- It's about making decisions you think are right and then standing behind those decisions. That's why America is safer with George W. Bush as President.

<snip>

Our President, George W. Bush, has worked hard to protect and preserve the American dream for all of us.

And that's why I say, send him back to Washington for four more years!

I wonder if ole Arnie is on a box to make him look taller. I've seen him in person at the Santa Monica Mall and he a pip squeak.

5. Both Arnie AND Bush - Bush has been wearing lifts since the 2000 campaign
He's one of those 5'9 guys who feels he has to claim he's 6'. Typical security issues.

13. staffers are trying not to offend corporate donors by insulting their tool
Arnold.

If it was strictly about appealing to voters, Angelides would already be running this:

9. Here's mine...short and sweet.

Dear Phil,

as a life long democrat it make me sad to see your campaign for governor floundering like a salmon at the end of its life cycle. Your campaign adds are far and few in between and the ones shown are not too "hot damn, I'll vote for him."
My suggestion would be to show Schwarzenegger in the company of GWB, as much as possible so that the voters will continue to associate Schwarzenegger with GWB and his cabal of henchmen. Voters forget the Schwarzenegger of last year when his approval ratings were in the toilet. You have to remind them! Again, remind them of him hugging and raising GWB's arm and how close they were. Otherwise your campaign will continue to flounder. Thanks and God Bless.

15. My letter to Phil--Karl Rove will do worse to you.
Phil,

I'm sure you already have this in the pipe, but if you don't, you should find every image of Schwarzenegger with Bush, every kind word he said about Bush, and put it on every billboard and bus bench in California.

Americans are finally seeing Bush for the corrupt self-dealing tool he is, but Arnold's low profile and fake moderate act could lead voters to forget the damage he inflicted and tried to inflict on California when he first came into office.

It is not unfair to judge someone by the company they keep, and since Arnold is getting advice from Karl Rove, you can bet he'll come at you with something far dirtier and less relevant.

21. Phil should figure out how to use his celebrity against Arnold
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 06:47 PM by yurbud
use the Karl Rove method--figure out your opponents strength, and turn it into a liability.

Like "Arnold thought being governor was just another movie, and he got the script from George Bush and his energy pirate cronies.'

'Can you trust a man who.'
