Poll question: If democracy fails in Iraq what would be the cause?
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 12:11 PM by yurbud
Edit for typo

I saw a thread here that someone at the White House admitted democracy may be failing in Iraq.

Spreading democracy in the Middle East still half works as a talking point for the GOP, and if someone talks about pulling out, in addition to being called cowards, they are either called racist for not believing Arabs can practice democracy or not believing in democracy itself.

If the relatively democratic system we set up in Iraq collapses, what will be the reason?

2. The Iraqis know the US Gov't is interested in docility, not democracy.

3. 'If'? 'Would be'?
How about: Now that democracy has failed in Iraq, what is the major reason?

5. Its not biology & culture. Its urology & culture
The Iraqis don't like being pissed on. And they have long memories.

Bad combination for us.

6. yep--in fairness to us, we would remember a similar pissing
look at how long whites in the South remember Civil War, and they were in the wrong.
