Is it really the media that keeps stories like this alive. I see many posts that blame the media, but just look at how many JonBenet threads there are here.*

Are the thread starters covert freeper ninjas looking to divert attention away from the already non-coverage of the war?

Actually several of us are going. We're taking materials (his $30+ donations from Abramoff, copies of his sweetheart house deal that he bought from DeLay's former aide-turned lobbyist, etc.) with us that should make him uncomfortable. ;)

if there are a lot of them, then that indicates at least some people are interested. Who are you, single member that you are, to determine that your interests supercede the interests of others?

6. I hate to bring this up the, but what was Bill Clinton wanting to divert

us from? This story is 10 years old. I am well rounded enough that I can deal with both Bushco's antics and the culmination of a child murder story. Yes, I wish more of these stories were made public. As a mom I think a good start would be to devote news time each week to missing/murdered children cases. I'm sorry but this one does not fall into the pretty, pregnant missing woman of the week category for me.

And that was 100x worse than this (on DU anyway). As to whether the media is keeping this alive, 5 years ago when they were doing stories on how there was "nothing new", that was keeping it alive. When the catch a killer, that's ACTUAL news, not just keeping a story alive.
