It's not a big deal to me, but I feel manipulated by it anyway.

MSCM is starting to get on my nerves these past few days.

2. Yes, sometimes these days it's hard to restrain myself from
throwing something at the TV...and I don't even get cable.

For this reason, about the only TV I watch is local news, some ETV programs, and very occasionally one of the soaps.

3. The part I forgot to add from my mental shorthand: Ramsey.
I'm sorry for starting yet another thread about it. I'm turning CNN off now :/

4. This has nothing to do with anything...
but Wonk, I love your icon! My screen name is in honor of the late Joe, my beagle/basset mix. He was a 4-pawed populist who didn't care about things like religion, skin color and class. He concerned about the important things...long walks, naps and whether or not you were going to finish that sandwich. A shining example to us all.

Just thought I'd jump in and welcome you to DU, JoDog. Thanks for the grin, sorry for your loss.

8. Thank you
for your kind words. We had to let Joe go a few months ago, and I'm glad that his outlook on life is still bringing smiles to people's faces. He was truely our "little old man" who wandered into my family at about age 9 and lived to the ripe old age of 16 or 17. In weird sort of way, I think he knew that everyday of his life was a gift, and sometimes it takes a dog to remind us silly humans of that.

5. As well you should -- They are blatenly lying. I have never seen so
many untruths and ut ohs as I have in the last couple weeks. They are not news anymore - they are entertainment - fantasy.

7. LOL
Everytime I turn on the TV my son asks: "Is this another of those shows where you yell at the screen?" and tells my wife: "You know, the television is a one way device - they can't hear you." (That second phrase is word-for-word what we tell him when he gets upset with his video games.)
I've raised a smart-ass.
