Bush: "I am the Fair Queen"
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 08:21 AM by izzybeans
I don't remember Presidents passed spending so much time making pointless endorsement stops as this President. After all the comments he has made about "My job is _____________" Or I am the decider, or whatever...It's time to accurately characterize his position.

In honor of all the State Fairs that are now on going and all the leisure and advertising spots he has undergone in the past nearly 6 years I propose we characterize him as a Fair Queen.

Not because he lacks the certain false hetero machismo normally labeled with the epitaph "Queen", or the inverse worn as a badge of honor during gender play (though I'm sure the vibrations of this HOG gave the Prez a good and surprisingly alluring tickle that caused the false machismo to "slip" a bit) but because he is our pageant contestant in chief, and not a whole lot more. Smile and wave, rev the Harley, smile and wave, read the teleprompter. Phew. This is tough tough...this is hard work. The Fair Queen after winning the pageant undergoes a term limited pr campaign around the territory. Promotional tours galore:

I don't care who you is, are, was, or twer, that's funny right there.

1. I've never thought of it like that, but you're right!
He's out there endorsing products! This whole administration is some crazy, doped up ad campaign. No wonder he told us "consumers" to get out there and shop after the national tragedy that was 9/11.

6. It came to me while watching local news coverage of the State Fair
The Pageant contestants had that same glazed over look and half-cocked wave. I'm sure in their teens they are at least as eloquent.

9. "His fairness" is unquestionably a facade.

4. If they ever been on a Harley they all secretly know
what I'm talking about no matter how big they claim they are on their manblogs.

8. In some of these photo ops with working people many seem to
be fairly annoyed. Especially those that have to teach him the tricks before the camera stops rolling. His look tells me that our Pageant contestant in chief probably had just hit the accelerator while in gear.

Much like the "guitar tech" that had to spot the Prez while New Orleans was drowning. It's the obliviousness that brings the it the surreal kinship with pageantry.

12. He's a republican show dog then.
They bought him a big ranch so he wouldn't chew the furniture. There are enough trees for him to gnaw on in front of the cameras outside.
