Obnoxious, finger-worthy bumper-sticker sighting
"I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than driving with Ted Kennedy."

That got an enthusiastic horn-honking middle finger from me today.

And this was on a commercial vehicle owned by a sign installation company.

I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the company, and didn't get a better picture of their logo.

1. Where do you live? We can track it down.
Remember we have these "tubes" you call the internets. The logo is blurry but perhaps it can be compared to a list of local sign company logos.

Good job on the birdie. I always fear that the reich-wingnuts have weaponry.

3. I wouldn't go hunting with Cheney OR riding with Kennedy!!!!!!!
Alchoholism is no joke, regardless of political party affiliation.

22. I've got plenty of better memes on the bumper of my car....
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 09:46 AM by IanDB1
That was taken today...

That was taken July 13th...

That was my rental car while I was on vacation in South Carolina...

That was a sign on my temporary storage trailer...

There's another sign on my temporary storage trailer...

There's some more...

And a wide shot...

And by the way, I've voted for Ted Kennedy.

In any case, I believe you are mistaken about my motivation, and what memes I am trying to spread.

I suppose it's possible that you've missed enough of my 16,312 message posts to legitimately misinterpret my intent?

2. That's why I did this:

Actually, that's not even my favorite, of the batch of Cheney hunting stuff I did at lightning speed after it happened. I mean, these things just wrote themselves:

I did a few others, but the above three are my faves.

And then, of course...

So there, that should make you feel lots better -- people did (and occasionally still do) buy these, so I know there's a good number of "rebuttals" on the nation's highways. :)

20. I'd buy some, but my bumper is pretty full already...

I've actually added MORE since then, including this magnetic sign on the side of my car:

And I can't put signs on my storage trailer anymore, either...

23. Oh, I took those signs down a long time ago
Mostly because my wife didn't want me pissing off the neighbors too much.

Although, for a while, I did put a very large "God Hates Republicans" sign hanging inside my bay window, which I removed every night before my wife came home.

can see your wife's point and her desire to dwell quietly among her neighbors. :)

15. If you ever find the truck, put this sticker on his bumper

This one is 10X3 and can work as a bumper sticker. Find a print shop to make one or more.

17. Vile. And not even in a "what a piteous asshole...(chuckle)" way.
Disgusting. Right up there with the assholish, "I'd rather be fondled by Arnie than bent over by Davis" stickers from the insanity of the CA recall.

GOD. Should people that stupid even be ALLOWED driver's licenses?

18. Whenever a repuke brings up the Ted Kennedy incident...
Which they're overly fond of doing, I respond with: Did he get off too easily? Probably. But it happened in 1969 -- ***37 years ago***. One more thing: If my two older brothers were murdered in public, I'm not sure that my behavior would be a model of stability. :grr:

19. My gun killed one less person than Laura Bush's car
Or perhaps, "Charles Manson killed one less person than Laura Bush."

Mrs. Bush ran stop sign in fatal crash

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Details in a 1963 accident report say that Laura Bush, then 17, ran a stop sign in the Texas crash that killed a friend in another car. The report, adding information to previous reports of the crash, was released to The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Mrs. Bush now is the wife of Republican presidential nominee-to-be George W. Bush, the Texas governor.

''It was a very tragic accident that deeply affected the families and was very painful for all involved, including the community at large,'' said Mrs. Bush's spokesman, Andrew Malcolm. ''To this day, Mrs. Bush remains unable to talk about it.''

She did say in March, when asked at a campaign stop about the crash, ''I know this as an adult, and even more as a parent, it was crushing ... for the family involved and for me as well.''

There had been published accounts of the accident, but city officials had declined to release the records because those involved were under 18. The police report was released Wednesday in response to an open-records request that was submitted to Midland officials in March.

25. Why is it they can all "remember" the Kennedy 1969 thing perfectly,
but they can't remember how people were OUTRAGED because our young people were being killed in a pointless, war-machine-enriching, neverending war (Vietnam)?

21. But I agree with the sticker....
Hunting with Cheney would give me the opportunity to return fire.

Although the drive with Ted could be enlightening.

Dang, I'm just not sure now...
