You know, the one that ushed in the "Chicago Boys" that later came to us under Reagan, Bush I and Bush II.

The one that our CIA made sure happen.

The one where they turned the National Stadium into a concentration camp and murdered thousands of leftists.

that at least one other person remembers the more significant one in terms of ultimate deaths mainly as a result of CIA trained death squads. Makes the 2nd 9/11 pale into insignificance. When the NY one occured my first thought was that it was either Chileans or Guatemalans who'd dunnit. I guess their revenge is still to come. Sit tight.

2. Salvador Allende? Right?

Freely elected in a democratic vote, but killed by a CIA coup when he wanted to nationalize the oil industry. Do I remember it corrctly? I heard he fought the coup with an automatic weapon right in the capital.
