Isn't it amazing how public service reduces intelligence?
These people are presented to us a THE smartest, THE brightest, THE most qualified people ever, and eyt while in office, they do one dunderheaded stunt after another..

Once they leave the employ of the administration, they somehow "regain" their senses and many of them even go on tv and renaounce much of what they did while IN office.

Colin Powell lost his smarts while in office, and now has regained his senses (even though he still covers for them)

Ridge, apparently NOW thinks that we cannot screen out terraists, no matter how hard we try..

Iulio, once he quit, recanted much of what he was coerced into supporting..

Even democratic administrations do us a disservice when they hire "lackeys"..

I'm starting to think that since we all seem to "enjoy" brutal, "honest", reality shows and "talent" contests so much, we somehow need to inject it into public service..

How about hooking up piblic officials to a lie-detectore every time they open their mouths:)

Or making them wear a wire 24/7, so we would find out what the REALLY think
