4. The other one they released
was simply a passerby at the scene of one of the busts. The police said he was acting suspiciously at the time and so they detained him. For that you can read he was of an appearance that made running for a bus or train in London ill advised.

3. No explosives were found, right? No airline tickets?
Most had no passports? Wow, what a plot. Check the article mentioned in a post a few minutes ago at

6. At present no nothing
apart from maybe being in possession of an excess of household cleaning products. Chances are that most of them won't be charged with much more than "not being white with a #1 haircut."

9. Or maybe this whole "plot" was nothing more than an illusion
Frankly, the deeper we get into this mess, the more it stinks. How could these people get onboard an international flight without passports? Why do these people fall outside the normal profile of suicide terrorists? Why is there virtually no evidence of any sort of bomb materials?

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that this whole matter was simply a trumped up plot to make both Bush and Blair look like they're actually doing something, and provide another excuse to do away with even more civil liberties.

These folks can only be held for twenty eight days without being charged. It will be interesting to see if and when they get released.

10. I agree with you.. This whole thing stinks, and makes little sense..
The biggest surprise for me though was the number of "progressives" on this board that are so willing to believe what this administration says about terror.. They lie about everything else, why would this be any different? I just can't get over the number of people that are still buying into it.. I don't believe anything that comes out of this administration, and I guess I have a hard time wrapping my mind around why anyone else would.. Fear is a mighty tool, and this administration seems to see it's the only one that works for them..
