How successful do you gauge the Bushevik Summer Propoganda Offensive?
Edited on Wed Aug-16-06 06:23 PM by tom_paine
So far, that is. And remember, we probably have a September Surprise and an October Surprise around the corner still yet to come.

But there have already been several propaganda blows stuck by the Busheviks and their pals that have been very successful, from where I'm sitting.

Some are already fading from memory, as good propaganda will, leaving only the subconscious damage/manipulation remaining and the victim with no memory of the event to try to defend it with conscious self-analysis.

But the most recent are obvious, one being the British foiling of the second 9/11. Is it true, but the Busheviks push the date of arrest up, it it simply a cooked up job like the phony Miami terror arrests, or did the Brits actually catch the Bushevik Team planning a MIHOP or HIHOP (Help It Happen On Purpose) ?

And, of course, the Israeli-Lebanon War, which people wonder why it started when it did, with no overt and massive provocation occurring beforehand. The answer is, like everything else the Busheviks touch, is decided by the Policial Wing, the Mayberry Machiavellis. Including this war, who's timing was planned "jointly" by the Busheviks and the Israelis, but it's fairly certain the Busheviks must have insisted on a time to the Israelis (using fake reasons to hide their true objectives, as they always do, I would venture to guess).

But the whole Propaganda Offensive, which includes other such things as the Phony Miami Terror Arrests, has been I am sorry to say, as successful as it always has been on the weak minds that make up at minimum a substantial minority in any nation, but which a good system of checks and balances, as existed up until 2000 in Old America, can mitigate.

Damn it, I hate to be a doomsayer, but I see more American Flags than at any time in years. As a side note, how sad it it that the Busheviks have turned the beautiful Old American flag into a symbol for totalitarianism? Those bastards really should design a new flag for their new nation and stop using the incorrect flag...MY FLAG.

But I digress. Since the Bushevik Summer Propaganda Offensive began, Bushevik Poll numbers (including generic congressional polls) have predictably tightened. Goebbels could tell you exactly how The Big Lie works, if you woke him from his dirt nap.

Let us not forget that the Busheviks only need about 40% of the vote to "win" (we need at minimum 57% to MAYBE gain a 0.1% squeaker).

Agree? Disagree? Flames? Am I missing something key to this situation.

1. The Dear Leader went into the summer with a 29% approval rating
and now it seems to be hovering in the low-to-mid thirties. And that's with nothing new having gone severely more wrong than usual for a while. What'll happen with the next major fuck-up (and you know it's coming; it's just a matter of time)?

2. Nullified by First Loser's appearances.
I hear no one will get near Dimson. Political suicide.

3. I think it's backfiring
I think they've overplayed their hand, and since that's really all they know how to do, they're going to keep overplaying it more and more, and lose more and more support.

I hope.

4. I have a strong impression that even our dear pre-occupied ...
working two jobs to make ends meet - Average Voting American - is viewing this Executive Branch Fear Fest "Summer 2006 Tour" as a Two-Star B rated movie to be passed by without great attention.

It's not going to snag more than the dead enders (20-25%). These are my acquaintances who have a framed picture of Dear Leader displayed on their fire place mantle. They are the crazies who adore Authoritarian Rule and they can NOT be changed, i.e., there must be a genetic component somewhere. :-)

But I have faith this tired ole meme is not resonating with The Masses. Despite what the whorish M$M tells us about "Stoop-id Americans" I hold onto faith in the majority of my fellow USA Citizens. :-)

IMO, we (American Voting Populace) are beginning to swing back toward "the political middle."

5. Bingo on the Big Lie.
They are reaping the fear I think but not so much gaining in approval. It's still a net gain. The main problem right now is the lack of politically forceful, creative pressure from the Democratic party. Despite some early victories, the party is fighting itself - I think that's the plan for this cycle unless things get more drastic for the GOP.

6. Why have 100% of the aims of Watergate been accomplished?
The question of the ages. Among other things, perpetual unchallengable One-Party Rule being one, another of the aims of the original Watergate Conspirators was to de-fang the Democratic Party.

Liddy originally proposed using GOP-hookers and drugged drinks, among other things, to get the dirt on the Dems.

Can that hold a candle that the critically-timed assassination of Wellstone or the anthraxing of Daschle and Leahy in terms of "sending a message" to the Dems that they could die at any time and their murderer will walk blissfully free? Liddy was a piker.

Can hookers and chloral hydrate (or is it GHB these days?) do the kind of intimidation that a $10,000,000,000 co-ordinated Big Lie Machine and Mighty Wirlitzer can in creating a FalseReality in which any strong, principled stand a Democrat takes seems to lead to their destruction (in the case of Wellstone, literally)?

Is it a simple coincidence that 100% of the aims of the Watergate Conspirators have been accomplished?

And I think the Plan for this cycle includes more of the saqme, more Fear and Psychic shock to Americans until they mentally fatigue out. A September Surprise (unless the Brits foiled it) and an October Surprise?

7. Seattle port closing(today!)
Edited on Wed Aug-16-06 06:44 PM by PATRICK
Practically a blackout in the MSM(and subsequently here) reminds us that they control the message if not the results. Here you have a terror possibility in a shipping load from Pakistan that closes the whole port and no one is on it.

Why? mainly word has not come out from the Bushistas. You can speculate why, or rather, you are forced to speculate why, because there is nothing else in media world or in the facts to hit your head against. Because it puts too much heat on our ally Pakistan? Because Bush is on vacation? because they didn't PLAN for this event and will take time to craft a message- or ignore it, and make everyone else ignore it, because they blew the opportunity AND THEY DID NOT KNOW IN ADVANCE HOW IT WILL TURN OUT?

I think it has become that shallow of an exercise, the laziness of absolute power in an illusory democracy. The absolute focus of the Bush team allows only a small budget for the show at home. Notorious cheapness of the cabal. The will mobilize what is left of the ignorant mush minds of America, shrugging off the growing number permanently awake and lost, counting on power and war to sweep away opposition.

Control of the media as I noted above has made this a lazy lunacy, its apparent strength and actual weakness.

8. Well said, Patrick, and on target
So much of this stems from the destruction of the Free Press.

So much begins with that. As the Founding Fathers knew when they enshrined the press as the one profession outside politics mentioned in the Constitution.

As Ben Frankin prophsied correctly on his deathbed with his final speech to the Constitutional Convention, though his words spoke of generalities not specifics regarding our current Despotic situation.

It qualifies as prophesy nonetheless.
